While a lot of attention is paid to the use of psychedelics for personal growth, mental health and other personal insights, the fact is that psychedelics and in particular LSD functioned as a tool of political and cultural liberation for thousands of youth all over the world in the 60s and 70s. Many of them became psychedelic warriors in the struggle to create a new society and carry out a revolution.
In addition to a very successful discussion between PreSkool and Matt Ray from Left In The Bay, an exhibit of historical items was on display at the Psychedelic Assembly through June 7th. Photos from the talk and exhibit are here
They unfold the little known history of the Good Earth Commune and White Panther Party in the San Francisco Bay area in the 70s, with a focus on the lessons to be learned for our current situation here in the United States.

PreSkool is a DJ, music producer and manipulator of light. He has been DJing since 2003, and has monthly residencies at Union Pool, Coyote Club, Cassette NYC and is the resident DJ at the Psychedelic Assembly.
While selecting across the musical spectrum both temporally and culturally, current focus is on contemporary and classic electronic dance music. Site includes mixes, videos, photography, and event calendar.
