It's been a while ( almost 5 years) since I threw a Caterpillar Party but today's post Juno chilled out atmosphere is perfect for a psychotronic salon. Bree will be slinging the libations while I project classic psychotronic films from my collection and play music designed to liberate your Caterpillar souls. Can't think of a better location then Billet & Bellows 177 Grand in Williamsburg for the party. 9:30 till 2:00. Get there early if you want to insure you get your Caterpillar on.
I have been DJing in NYC for close to 2 decades, along with countless house parties, its been my privilege to spin at a lot of venues ( mostly in Williamsburg) some great; Supreme Trading, Savalas, Macri Park, Glasslands, Stinger, Lux, Trash Bar, Gin Palace, 151 Club, The Woods, Manhattan Inn, High Horse, Black Bear, some not so much (anyone remember Boogaloo). But of all the venues, my home base, and locus of my development as a DJ has been Union Pool. After years of working the front room, I have been privileged the last three years to host my monthly dance party in the back.
My focus has always been to provide a coherent and unique curation of music I love in an atmosphere of positive vibes and consciousness. As I start my 4th year, I want to express my deepest appreciation to the Union Pool family for their unwavering support and love and especially to express my gratitude to Ryan Sawyer without whom Union Pool would be a very different place and there probably would not be a PreSkool.

It's really rare to find anyplace truly original in Williamsburg these days, But Kristina Kozak, a long time neighborhood artist has done it with her new bar Billet and Bellows ( 177 Grand). It's a great space filled with her metal art, it has a great vibe and is already a go to spot for long time Williamsburg residents. Bree and I are pleased to revive our Tuesday night sessions featuring great music and projections. For 6 years we provided a great Tuesday spot for your leaseue and I am looking forward to some grat nights at this soon to be iconic Williamsburg venue. Come by this Tuesday and check it out.

My Tuesday rock and roll session at Black Bear bar has been moved to Sundays starting this week. With the Gin Palace out of commission, I no longer have a weekly Saturday session. Currently focusing on my Ableton course in music production and working hard on a variety of tracks plus preparing to debut my Ableton Live setup at some forthcoming DJ gigs.
Excited to announce we are going back to Playland Motel on November 29th for a full on PreSkool dance party with visuals and music by PreSkool. This is a great bar to spin at with an excellent sound system, great rooms and a cool crowd. Make your plans now. i am getting a room and will be there ALL NIGHT LONG!!

Working all day on my Halloween set which will be full of sound effects, italian horror film music and deep house - excited to be djing at a Motel called Playland, reminds me of the old Bay Area Playland at the Beach, also will be screening a few classic horror films. If your around come out, buses leaving from Williamsburg all night.

Truly a good week for me. I completed the first level of the Ableton intensive, got the beginnings of a solid track down with my friend Louis, had Rosie and the rest of Ballet School stay at my house and saw a great set by them at LPR and finally had two kick ass DJ sets ( Union Pool and Gin Palace) which they got to see. Feeling tired but good, DJing GP tonight and then on to see what this week brings.
Great party at Pool last night was so excited to hang and spin for my friends. Great crowd and as always the best crew in Williamsburg. Love to all
